Okay, boys and girls that live in the greater Las Vegas area, it's time that we act as cool as everyone else and have ourselves a meet up. We discussed this in a different thread, but I want this to be it's own thread just so we can show those Reno people how things are done in Nevada.

The location is the Reed Whipple Cultural Center. It's in the dead center of Las Vegas and everyone will have to travel about the same distance to get there. For the location go to the cultural center's website http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Find/parks_f...ies.asp?id=5074 The meet up is going to be from 4:30-5:30 because the building closes at 6:00 and they need us out of there a half hour early so they can clean up and make sure that we didn't trash the place. I've filled out the forms and unlike the last time when we planned this, we have the room, we'll have a stero system, we'll have mirrors, and we'll be able to finally meet each other.

Zin has said that there will even be an SOTA on the 17th from 7-12, so once we get done with our meet up, we'll take all of us down to that and finish off the night there.

Things to bring;
-yourself
-glowsticks
-all your friends that like glowsticking
-anyone that wants to know more about glowsticking

Things not to bring;
-drugs (this is a community center, I don't want any of you to be wasted or rolling while we are there, it's not the best immage for the community to be seeing us as)

Start telling people about this, and make sure you post in here if you'll be comming or not becasue it'll be nice to have some sort of head count to know how many people will be there.

Will be going for sure. And i think i can bring about 2 or 3 people.

lol did i get the wrong map or is that place on vegas blvd north of bonanza? Not exactly the best part of town, but ill still be there.



Also, SOTA. what is that? I know of Sounds of the Underground, but that would be SOTU.

Yes, you got the right map, when I said the center of town, I meant the center of town. There isn't a more central location than that. The good news is that because it'll be from 4:30-5:30, all of you people that don't feel comfortable in that part of town will be happy to know that it'll be light outside. It's really not that bad of a place I use to go there every week for rehersals for an orchestra and nothing bad ever happened to me or anyone that was in my orchestra over those seven years. It's the right place, don't worry.

As for whatever the event is, I don't know what it is, all I know is that Zin told us that there is one. We're going to have to bug him for more information because I'm going off of what he told us in the other thread.

This is going to be so fun. Its 16 days and counting.

You saw the list, bring glowsticks and yourself. Past that, there's nothing that I know of that you'll need to bring. If you feel like bringing some friends, do it, tell as many people as you can about this.

This sucks, I wish I had seen this sooner. My dad's birthday is that weekend, so I won't be in town. You guys should take a lot of pictures, and I'll see about planning another mini meet-up so I can meet the Vegas members.

The last SOTU is going to be May 31st because the venue is changing it's age policy to 18+ and they will be taking a break to find a venue thats all ages.
