How many people on here have undertaken and succeeded at weight loss? What worked for you? How fast/how long?

I'm currently going the route of exercising 3-5 days a week combined with taking in about 1800 calories a day. That should leave me with a deficit anywhere between 500 and 1500 calories, depending on how fast my basal metabolic rate is. That means I should lose between 1 and 3 pounds a week.

Ideas/comments/suggestions/testimonies?

I've undertaken it. Very little in carbs and high in protein and veggies. Basically a healthy version of the atkins diet. Instead of any fatty meats dripping in fat you can get, I used lean meats like chicken and pork. Paired with mild exercise in addition to my regular travel routine, I lost about 8lbs in two months.

Just to let you know, 3lbs a week is bordering unhealthy. It causes stress on the body because for some it's too rapid of a change. That and it has a higher chance of yoyoing.

Yeah, I don't think I'll hit 3. The hard part will be losing enough weight then going back to eating normally without overeating again. I think I eat mostly due to boredom.

having to cut weight for taekwondo tournements i can give u some hints.

1) nothing but grilled chicken
2) run and do about 2 miles 3x a week and increase ure distance by a 1/4 mile every week. do that till u hit 4 miles and ull be droppin massive amounts per month. i was able to drop like 30 in a month once when i went super strict.

We all know how these dance Circles work...two people start to vibe together and dancing then one steps out or both step out and two other people jump in and they share a VIBE. It isn't really "battling" or "serving" anyone, it is SHARING and RESPECTING and TO VIBE off of others as RAVERS!

My plan has worked so far. I was getting 3 lbs per week then 2 now about 1 since I was feeling totally exhausted and I haven't gone to the gym as much as I should be. I'm down about 20 pounds since I started tho.
