They are a good band. I thought Emotive and Amotion sucked. I really liked their first album that came out.

i liked them until maynard lost his damn mind and turned it into "tool2" and crapped all over the band...
although everyone wanted to talk about Billy Howerdel and maynard being the key to the band, but their sound from the first album was probably more due to Paz Lenchantin and Troy Van Leewen than anything else. the fact that their second album sounded exactly like tool and didn't feature Lenchantin Van Leewen really backs me up on this.
also, i am still pissed off over maynard's real classy move of putting horrible cover of Failure's (Van Leewen's old band by the way) The Nurse Who Loved Me after Van Leewen left. seriously, the original was one of the best songs of the 90's and maynard ruined it. yes, i am bitter (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

"tool2"??

i hope that's a typo...

but hold up... didn't TOOL come out first?

and they didn't turn it into anything. they're two separate bands (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

you can blatantly hear the difference between the two, minus a few songs done by TOOL.

hell, if you have as much power as Maynard does, why not start a new band and make millions upon millions upon millions?

Mer de Noms - 3 Libras = <3

I love A Perfect Circle, they're immense.
Tool-ish, but not.
Just nice.

Mer de Norms, 13th, both amazing.
Unlike most I can ttruly dislike Tool and love PC, and I always have.

3 Libras is insane...i cant even try and describe it. Blue is a close second for best song, although I prefer remixes over original songs. The mixes make things more eerie. Thatis a HUGE reason i love PC.... their songs are somewhere between creepy, mellow, inspiring or seriously mind-blowing.

I swear im not a dumb fangirl. I cant make any match to the tone of their songs though. Maynard sucks in terms of tool, imo, but PC and Pucifer alike are very, VERY differentiating in their technique.

Ok

Im done being stupid. lol.
