Hey everyone! It's time again to start planning on how we are going to make this epic weekend come about. This year, the Lovefest Parade and Afterparty are on Saturday October 4, 2008 with a pre-meet expected (as it has not been officially announced as of this post) to be held the day before on Friday, October 3. For those of you who have never been and are on the fence, I can't begin to describe how much of a great time we had in the journey and experiencing the wonderful vibe of what the NorCalers had to offer. Assuming a good deal of us will be traveling together again, ideas for transportation so far favor between taking the train again (with NO long bus ride to those who went last year!) and a mixture of driving partly and intercepting the train for the remainder. As for flying, tickets are currently about $180 the last I had looked not including any surcharges that carriers have been aggressive in tacking on lately. Each of these assuming we are leaving Thursday night and returning Sunday afternoon.

Now as for lodging, Danny was able to find a hotel located within A VERY SHORT distance of the parade and afterparty that I'm hoping we will be able to get again. However, I don't know of any other places yet if that falls through...

I want to go sooooo bad. How much would transportation be if you did the train again or whatever? There is no way that Colin and I could afford to fly, but depending on transportation plans (train/bus) then maybe we can make it. We're looking for a party in between Nocturnal and MM, and how much more epic can you get than Love Fest?

I'm skipping on Nocturnal for this so yeah it's that epic. hehehe Kristen had just found flights for Virgin Airlines advertised at $120. However, this is from LA/SD though and like everything else will go up as time draws near. Currently, Amtrak has listed a round trip from the LA to SF stations at about $110. And even as a direct train ride it's still a 12hour trip for the most part.

I'm a yes if its Train/Driving.

I don't think that we'll make it. Bleh I want to go sooooo bad. The lineup is EPIC!!! Next year for sure!
