I've been sitting and medataing on ways to create my own style for the past few days. Not by learning the hardest moves or combos but by simply moving fluidly with, and truly feeling, the music. Upon this medation I came upon a question I hope you guys can help me answer.

How many different ways are there to crack sticks?

Right now I know the basic two handed bend; I know it is possible, thought sadly I cant do this regularly with my left hand, to crack a stick by holding it and pressing hard enough with your thumb; And who can forget using your own body to crack a pare no matter if your pressing it aginst your side or stepping on them before doing a leg trace.

So, what are some other ways to crack a glowstick?

if you use my retracting device, you can swing them onto the floor and they'll shoot right back to ya!

http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m48/log...wstick%20Stuff/

i can make and send you a set if you *really* wanna try, otherwise get keyrings, hairbands, and go to staples and ask for "those things office employees use to belt-hook their ID cards on"

you'll spend all of, maybe, 12 bucks.

and i tension tested the strings - they'll hold under some intense swings unless they're heavier than the Streetlights they're attached to in the pic.

Interlaced, this is referring to freehanding cracks.

Anyway. Hold one end down with your foot but instead of stepping to crack, lift the other end up. (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I think that's what I ment. Not like.. stomping on the stick to crack it..

Really do like danika's idea thought. Using the enviroment to crack the stick could make for some cool effects if done right..

EDIT: omg new idea.. Toss the sticks together so they hit each other and crack..

electric sheep's concept called 'sparks' is pretty cool. but need another person with lit sticks to make it happen.

Almost like conjuring, no? Passing the light by cracking someone else's sticks with lit ones? (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

omg thats a nice idea.. Just seems like it would be GREAT in a circle. Not just have random people jump in but the one in breaks the sticks of the other.. kinda like the popcorn reading game we played in school...
