its starting to piss me off alot now
i finally got my computer fixed after a month or so

but anyways i have the Vestax VMC 004fx 4 channel mixer
with usb hookup
i hooked it up installed all the drivers

went to my recording program (Cool edit pro)
selected it in my devices had it selected and everything

but then when i tried to record a mix it wouldnt record

anyone have any idea why?

use the tape port or recording port/booth port/master 2 port in the back of ure mixer where u plug ure tables in. plug the male minijack into your mic port and then u can record.

The mixer isn't an A/D converter so you need to route the output of the mix to the input of an audio device on your computer (sound card, audio i/o board) The USB connetion is there so you can us the mixer to control the digital mixers in Ableton, Virtual DJ or something of the sort, it does not carry any audio signal.

i got it to work now
it is the audio device as well
the probelm i was having was in cooleditpro i didnt have it set as wave in.
just wave out so i could hear sound from the comp through my mixer and what not.
but yea i fixed it.
plus i wasnt selecting R (Record) on a channel in the multi-track part to record to.


either way works fine now.
