fitting in isn't what matters - don't let what other people think affect you so much

yeah, i think the point of the whole thing is that everyone is having a good care-free time, regardless of what you're doing or what you look like... a general acceptance...
Oh, and welcome to GSC :-p

What u have to do is watch some rave videos like together as one and monster massive. Go watch the elites of glowsticking such as jin, madraverrai, spazzman, dave, etc. After that i got motivated cuz it looks so coool

I have to agree with the general consensus here and say that when you begin to worry less about what others think, you will learn to enjoy things more yourself. When you try hard to fit in, it often does not come off right anyhow. Do this for you, enjoy what your doing, and most of all have fun doing it (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Practice alot. You cant really teach someone how to do it, although you can instruct and demonstrate it, its mostly self learned through practice.

(In response to the first post)
Haha! Ya know, I think glowsticking is pretty cool. My friends and I just kinda stumbled into it this weekend while we were camping and you know, you don't have to be a raver to do glowsticking. Heck, I've never stepped foot in a rave before but that's not stopping me. There are other places where you can do all that awesome stuff.
