Now I'm not a dj, but have always been interested in the culture, and have frequently thought about trying my hand at mixing.
I recently came across the Kaoss Pad. Never seen one before the other day. It looked like a pretty nifty little mixing sythesizer. Just wondering if it would be a good purchase.

i have em at work great way to kill time lol they are really worth the dosh both KP2 and 3 are great units really help you get creative esapecally when useing something like ableton live with loops saves you DSP and CPU power the mini KP is ok too but you may as well invest in the KP mixer series they got the same 100 FX but they are esier to intergrate and use in my opinion

watch this vid bellow for some cool KP tricks i tend to do same when i am feeling hyper during a set lol

I'm looking at one of the 'mini' KP units right now, are those worth the purchase, or should I hold off and get a KP3?

I actually thought the Kaossilator looked like a pretty neat little gizmo, even if you don't know anything about mixing. I've seen some pretty cool videos on youtube of pretty sick tunes that people make with just the kaossilator alone.

I have a kp2 and love it. it's a great way to give your mixes extra flavor and kp3 is even better.
