Great tutorial Merlin! (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/D.gif) You seem like you're a great talker/speaker/orator, and I'm sure this tutorial will help many out. Good job!

Awesome thanks for the tutorial! =]
I personally like to grab the stump because it's always consistent no matter what tip you have and it grips a little better for me while doing traces. Also without a bump on the end I think tracing is a little bit smoother.

When I describe a move as "aerial" I am talking about what we used to call the move set of poi in glowstringing. Why? Because the word poi is what's used for the art of poi, and is mixed up every freaking day when people are referring to either the move set called poi in glowstringing or are referring to the art itself. If you're glowstringing I call it aerial, if not then I don't care what they're called.

You may not think your isos are as good as some, but they were smooth! And made me realize how sloppy mine are. Time to practice. Great tutorial. (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE (Merlin @ Apr 4 2009, 11:43 AM) I will be making an Intermediate tutorial with different concepts for isos sometime this week. (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Like creating more intricate patterns, such as flowers, or conjuring?

I'm having a problem when I am practicing my finger isos. after a few completed motions (going around in a circle) my top fingers (index and middle) and even my thumb move down the stick and most of the time my middle finger moves off the stick completely and the stick flys out of my hands. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, the circular motion tends to make the stick want to shift around because of the different axis' of the points of contact made by your fingers in relation to the spin of the glowstick. Sounds really complicated, but basically you just have to keep practicing.
