I did have a meetup planning, but that didnt work out, ill go with orlando though, its a halfway point for everyone thats not in orlando, also orlando is fun. i could suggest a day, maybe 4th of july, perhaps hang out, string, fireworks, epic fun?(thought of that today at work)

For me, a lot depends on what happens between now and then. I'm looking for work and haven't been making enough money lately so things definitely have to change in order for me to make it.

Orlando seems like the best spot. It's in the middle for people in the north and south. Jacksonville to Miami is a really long trip. Planning a statewide meetup in either of those locations is 99.99% guaranteed to fail.

We tried this last year and the best advice I can give from that experience is not to organize it months away. If you want to do something in the summer, get a feel for who wants to go and start organizing like a month in advance. Too much advance notice is almost as bad as not enough. Last year we had 26 people on a list that said they would show up but it was planned so far in advance that some people had their life situations change, some forgot, some stopped caring and a handful of people actually made it out.

It's a bit far... But I highly consider we all do it around this weekend.

Seems to me that the only logical thing to do is to hold it exactly when Warp Tour is taking place, that way Juany can get his wish and have a reason not to go and everyone will get to hang with juany and pat, easily two of the most amazing stringers out there and all around good guys.

What do you guys think of a meetup in Orlando on May 16th? It's a Saturday and it's right after the Crystal Method show @ House of Blues in Orlando. But, then again, we could meetup Friday and Saturday? Any more in favor? I think this is a good time since it's relatively soon and... well, I <3 meetups =P We've had several successful meetups here in Jacksonville, and I think we can get most, if not, all of us down to Orlando to meet up! And, you guys can meet up in July too.. who's to say you can't meet up more often? (oh, I also wanna meet up soon since I'll miss the one in July ;_;)

Any votes? If I can get a few non-Jacksonville people to commit to a meetup, I'll organize it. I have a friend going to college in Orlando, so we can potentially have a place to crash (no guarantees, as of right now).
