http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDfPXHAR3p0How do you guys feel about this particular remix? Personally, I had some high expectations because I heard a lot of buzz about it, but I really didn't like it that much. It sounds flat (lacking in texture) to me and there's little build up. It just sounds like someone going crazy on some drums for the first two to three minutes. :/ I didn't think it was entirely bad, but I was expecting more than this. You can find this track on JOC's album Never Fade Away at mp3bunker.com

I generally don't like the "Big Sky" release that much, however I have to say that the other remixes are way better than this one.

My bad on late posting for this topic... BUT! my opinion on it is that it's okay with a mixture amount of feelings whether to consider "eeeeh" or "woah, that's different" either way. it's both! I do like when it picks up though they didn't abuse it that much, heh. Always a good track, however, it doesn't pass over the common quality as the angeli and nelson remix did. I was talking to a friend about this track again. Maybe everyone loves it so much because JOC placed it juuuuust riiiight in a set, and that placing on his tracklist is what drew so much positive feedback.

That, and Big Sky was such a hit a while back that it still makes people go nuts if they hear it while they're caught up in the moment. I know I would, and I'm not even a big Audrey Gallagher fan.

You're saying that John O'Callaghan got a lot of credit for this song simply because he played it? o_O a bit confuse... *currently stupid*

QUOTE (Straat @ May 12 2009, 07:22 PM) You're saying that John O'Callaghan got a lot of credit for this song simply because he played it? o_O a bit confuse... *currently stupid* I mean that he probably played it at just the right time, so that it sounded good in his set. Like Lira said, if you're in the moment Big Sky can still make everyone go crazy at a party.

Okay, I didn't give this mix much though when i heard it the first time, just on headphones-- nothing special. but I heard Mike Koglin play it last night, which was the first time I've heard it in a club, and...holy mother of God, it sounded good when you're caught up in the heat of the night. I haven't danced that hard since hearing Simon Patterson last year.
