Hey everybody,

Well, recently i have been doing a lot of thinking. and i would like to get out an meet some new people and make some new friends. i figured what better way then to meet some people taht enjoy the same things i do, glowsticking.

since i have been a member here, which hasn't been to long, i have noticed that there are barely any chicagoland, let allone barely any illinois members what so ever. i would like to pull all of us lone chicago / illinois members together for a meet up somewhere relatively close to us all.

pending on how many people are interested in doing this, and where everyone is from, we can decide on an area to meet up and hang out.

currently i know of very few glowstickers in illinois alone. most of them in the chicagoland area.
i reside in the small town of manhattan illinois about 45 minutes south of chicago 5 minutes south of joliet

i hope that we can get something going and finally have a meet up in the chicagoland area.

i would LOVE to go to a meet, and chicago might be close enough to where i live, which is right on the river in iowa (quad cities).. so of course anything closer would be better for me


also i should mention im 16, and i don't know gs.c's policies on age limits for meets..

yea actually u are quite close only 3 hour drive from quad cities

and to me there is no age limit for who can and cannot come to meets ... if u can make it out awesome

This sounds like a good idea. I personally don't have a spot of my own (i.e. House), so I'm not sure where this could happen at. This talk of Wes and Wil coming would be awesome, Wes and Wil are what started me stringing in the first place back in '05. I'm a little immobile these days(no liscense for a while) but I have a friend that would also be interested in this. Anywhere in Chicagoland area is good for me.

I talked to Will, he said he'd be interested in coming down and to just keep him informed so he might come. I don't have any way to contact Wes/KO/jstudd/etc...but I'll check and see if Kael is still in the area and see if he wants to come with too.

EDIT: As it turns out Kael is now located in California, I do not beleive he will be coming, haha.

Good afternoon everyone

well after looking at my schedule of events for the summer, and parks from google maps

i have decided that anytime after the first week of june i am basically free, unless something comes up at work where i need to come in more often...unfortunetly my ownly coworker has stage 4 lung cancer in BOTH lungs. so i may have to cover for that person
usually i work the entire day both thursday and friday...but my boss is awesome and if i need it off for you guys i can get it (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

so let me know what your work, vacation, randomness schedules are so we can find a nice suitable date for all of us to be able to attend this meet

since i fly out of the Lewis University airport a bunch during the week...i am going to be checking out some of the parks that look nice from google maps, in person, to see whats around...and hopefully there is a good one ... i figured romeoville is a good spot because it is bout midway between us all...

well thats just a lil update...

remember, if you know of a good place closer to you to have the meet, i dont care bout driving the distance

I know that I will be gone June 5th through June 7th and then again all week on the 3rd week of June in Florida but other than that I should be fine since I don't work weekends.

I'm pretty much available on any of the weekends in June except for the 28th(CUBS/Sox game)

i've been lookin at parks in Romeoville and so far i like the O'hara Woods park .. im going to call them up tomarrow to see if they have power sources outside so we can play music
