i partake in what u say, greatness.
however, as far as smashing arrows, i think my favorite is the pump it up series. yeah!
it just feels so natural (after i got used to it from playing ddr/itg's 4arrows to piu's 5) with where the panels are placed. the cross overs on piu also feels really eh, nice? XD and i dont get as many shin burns on speed songs.
the double mode on piu (10 panels) is fun cause it really feels like dancing if u just have fun with it. unless u choose some monster hard song then its just massive side to side speed stepping madness (which i cant do)

I was once an avid DDR / ITG player, but I never got to "greatness" levels. Most I could probably do 3 years ago was "My Favorite Game" on Extreme, but that's about it.
To be fair, DDR & ITG helped me a lot with learning rhythm & musicality... in order to play on higher difficulty levels I was forced to learn how to listen to the different accents of each song. This eventually helped me learn how to choreograph new-school hip-hop. The increased stamina (and the need to stay on the balls of my feet) helped my ballroom proficiency; trust me, it takes a LOT out of you =P

To bad our local arcade closed down but before it did i got an A on Legend of Maxx and a 95.xx% on Xuxa (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) ahh memories of Tilt...

Oh. I used to partake in this greatness. I remember playing a machine at the movies, then accidentally broke the machine. They eventually gave up repairing it and bought an ITG machine. Haha. Those days were my prime.

Eek. Yeah I was a ddrfreak for quite awhile in highschool/early university life. Loved it, but could never consider it a form of dance... more straight up hardcore cardio workout. except for freestyle stuff. that's more like dance... we still have tons of tournaments and stuff in the area, too. ddr has a huge scene here, even now.

Yeah ever since our local tilt closed down, about 3 years ago, our rhythem dance game scene pretty much has died. Every now and then me and some friends will go down to dallas to play but its just not the same with out DDR/ITG, para para, and dance maniax in my life (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Definitely a cardio work out. I never played it much in the arcades...just rocked out on the pads with the PS3. (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
