-all things glow and/or poi including but not limited to: glowsticks, sock poi, oggs, flowtoys, shoe strings, staffs, diabolos, yo-yos, hula-hoops, parasols, et cetera on anything that glows
-other people from offline who are interested i.e. friends who dig the glow!!!
-digital cameras
-video cameras
-KANDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111~~~~111~~!!1111!!!0wnzZ0rZ and magic pink unicorns and giant sheep!
-expect people because this is an Orlando 4th of July celebration event

put me on maybe, tbh i wouldnt do it directly at disney, its 4th of july and its gonna be packed, imo maybe a place near by with less people. then at night go to disney and watch fireworks?

That's what I'd ideally prefer to do. However, I don't know Orlando whatsoever so advice on a better location would be greatly appreciated.

Bump. so i typed the word parks into Google maps and found a lot of locations near Disney. here the map below.


the black circled areas is Disney and universal, now the red circle is imo a good enough location to where it is secluded from the general public tho some of the red dots are hotels. there's a lot of spots there, lakes, etc. that we could go to that's close to Disney.

thats just my 2 cents, idk if theres a specific spot, since i havnt been to disney in ages. im gonna keep looking around, if i can find a good spot ill post it.

i dont think down town disney is the best idea.....

well like what im thinkin is to have it not too close but not too far from there to kinda be away from everyone, also since the meetup is on 4th of july and i was there a few years back and they have a massive firework set. If u can think of anything else man that would be great. i just hope the meetup is gonna work.

Sadly I can't make it to this one however I do have a job interview today that I feel good about. Hopefully things will be turning around soon.

Alright. For some fun. I'm going on a scouting trip around O-town next week to find a new improved location. Downtown Disney is the only landmark I know of in O-town. I'm going to be down there running errands anyways with a friend.

So, location will be re-announced within 9 days.

It's been a really long time since I lived there so lots may have changed, but I would definitely stay clear of the mainstream Disney area during any holiday.

I would suggest looking at places close to downtown Orlando, in the area of Orange Ave and I-4. There's a park near Lake Underhill Rd. just outside of town that I remember.

If you search for parks on google maps it should give you a bunch of results in the area. Parks are usually the best bet for meetups, in my opinion. As long as the park is open you won't be asked to leave which is definitely possible at other locations.

Another cool place is at or near the Full Sail University campus. The campus is part of two strip malls and there's a Firehouse subs and an Albertson's in one of the lots, plus on other parts there are outdoor lunch tables and other stuff like that. I think school is still in session over the summer, so there'll be plenty of crowd (film students) there too.

Hmm, well I don't think I have any plans and hey look...I only gotta drive 25 minutes at most to anywhere you choose in orlando. I may bring a friend along. Rorok i'm sure knows who. Oh the ups of livin' in Orlando. PM me if ya want a way to get ahold of me.

yeah i stay in orlando too, there's also a thing called (i think)red, hot , and boom!! its in altamonte springs. but the thing is though it might be pretty packed. i doubt as much as disney though. the event has a bunch of live acts perform, then, at the end of the night they have a huge fireworks show. its pretty fun.

Haha so is my place like borderline of where youll go, cause if noone shows up u should totally pick me up and we can chill and go to that house party u were talkin about. and ill throw in some gas money too
