I am no expert, But I know learning was difficult at first.... I started with the figure eight... they call it that because it looks like a figure eight no matter how you look at it. Imagine you have a pen in your hand and your drawing a figure eight on an imaginary tablet. try both hands one then the other. jsut go with the flow improvise twists your wrists a little whatever you have to do to make it look like an 8.
I know its kinda old school but give it a try.

Start with simple moves (figure 8 being one) and go from there. Watching tutorials and other videos can help as well. Good luck.
thanks! ive kinda known the fig 8 cause of the 3 beat weave in glowstringing is the same consept lol im working on the heli right now its kinda tricky but im determined to get it down so i can have variation in my stringing/freehanding
Basic traces would help a lot. I don't know too much about stringing, but I've seen quite a few stringers use simple the behind/around the head trace, and the arm/leg traces as well.
But as previously said, just trying to learn freehanding in general would prove better overall in adding to your stringing.
