When I describe a move as "aerial" I am talking about what we used to call the move set of poi in glowstringing. Why? Because the word poi is what's used for the art of poi, and is mixed up every freaking day when people are referring to either the move set called poi in glowstringing or are referring to the art itself. If you're glowstringing I call it aerial, if not then I don't care what they're called.  |

I tried partner poi at firedrums and it was freakin hard.. Ive always wanted to do a group performance thing in the ultra circle but its never happened (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

me and my girlfriend are actually really considering to start practicing a duo glowstringing version of this, we'll keep you guys updated on how its coming along and what ideas we have for some new moves =]

I think the video was awesome.
It also points out a big difference between guys and girls. Sorry for being sexist... but girls tend to like doing things in a group- even if it's just a duo. This way when they mess up it's funny and not just embarassing, and also they never have to feel alone when they practice. The expressions on their faces would be totally blank if they were alone! Although, another reason would probably be that guys have BO up close haha.
Although the 5:00 mark you can pretty much say it's 4 girls... sorry but that is just NOT normal!
The technique presented itself is great. It's a shame someone like Yuta, who does heavily thought out choreographs, hasn't thought of this yet (maybe because he hasn't met a female japanese poist?). The trinity planes was amazing to see, and at 6:00 the movement was pretty cool too. I think "cogs in the machine" is a good term for those move hehe.
Anyway, hope to see more from them soon. (or maybe people here should start doing this stuff and maybe we'll have more girls)
