ok this is mainly a rant but if u feel like adding ur imput ur more than welcome

ok so in my family its me, my younger brother, my mom, and my step-dad...my step-dad did have a daughter butshe moved out when she was like 14 to live with her realy mom (shes 3-4 years older than me i think). She was very rebelious and stuff...got into alot of trouble and neither of my parents really like that...now shes gone and its only us for in the house and it always seems like im the odd one out now...they always seem to favor my brother more...

few examples...
my computer doesnt have a word program so i had to type all my HIGH SCHOOL AP papers on a program like notepad which sucks and they refused to buy word untill one day when my younger brother had a ONE PAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL essay to type and guess waht they do? they get on looking for a word program, ask me if we have one, i say "no iv been telling you for months we dont because u giuys dont wanna buy it" and then my step-dad gets out his card and goes any buys it online for him when I was tellign them almost all year that i NEEDED one badly

another example...
(this is one of a few reason my girlfriend hates my parents) my mom and brother come home one saturday with a few dags of clothes for him (he just got new clothes a month before) and sets it on the couch to try them on...i ask "why does Sam get more clothes?" and all she says was "because he needs them" and here i am wearing clothes iv had for 3+ years and they have all kinda of holes in them and are starting to fade and stuff...im the one that needs new clothes badly and they dont even think of buying me any unless its my birthday or christmas where i will get like 2 shirts (my girlfriends parents even went out and got me a few shirts because they felt bad that all my clothes are so shity)...i fucking get made fun of at school because everyone thinks im poor when my family is actualy in the upper middle class-low high class and they just dont give a shit about me

and if u hadent noticed yet i am the older of us and whatnot but 4 years

idk maybe all parents are like this with there younger...i wouldnt know bc none of my friends paretns are and i dont have kids >.<
maybe they like him more because hes a soccer player and has a chance to someday play major leage...maybe its because he like hollister and A.E. and stuff...all that preppy stuff...
maybe they see me as more like my step-sister...starting to rebel...yell...maybe they think all the things i do are stupid because i liek to be more creative than athletic (drawing, painting, glowsticking, making music...stuff like that)

it just seems like they support him more than me and i jsut cant take it anymore and idk what to do...

uhm, I don't really know any solutions to this (thank god I'm an only child) but I was wondering about something. I always understood football (sorry, soccer) to be a very minor sport in the USA, so being in the major league wouldn't be that good would it? I mean, if he was going to play American Football at the highest level than I can imagine that they like him more, but for regular football (again sorry, soccer) I can hardly imagine that.

Okay, first things first. For anyone else reading this...if you don't own Microsoft Office then go get the free ghetto version that Adobe makes. It is equivalent and gets the job done.

Have you sat down and had a serious talk with your parents about how you feel? Don't go the negative route. Don't sit down and go "don't do this" and "never get this" and "why not me". Instead, point out the good and INQUIRE of the questionable. Thank them for giving you the roof over your head and the stuff that you do have, but in that praise ask if it is all possible that they can help you purchase some new clothing because you feel that the ones you have are getting a bit worn. Don't demand things, but rather just provide the evidence (holes in jeans, rips in shirts, stains, etc.)

yes soccer isnt a huge sport here but still im sure a great soccer player would b more well-known and richer then a music composer or any profession i truly wish to do

If anything, that's a fine example of a more extreme youngest child syndrome. Same deal with one of my ex's. He never got anything (clothes, ability to borrow a parents car, literally had to build his computer from scratch with parts his friends gave him) and his parents paid him start paying rent when he turned 18, wouldn't help him go to university et cetera. His younger sibling on the other hand had everything, new, all the time. Now my ex is out of the house but the younger one is still there
