I don't see anything new here at all. Looks to me like you're just freehanding with photons connected to strings or hooks.

Its only glowsticking if you are using glowsticks.. are you using a glowstick case with photons on each end? I think thats kind of pushing the definition a bit far..

But it was a nice video..

One of the Nova kids use to do that with strings the size of ring fingers. Are you using metal rings or strings to spin them?

Moved to others.
Pen spinning with photons is considered an other.
That would make a cool lightshow trick, Hope to see what more you add on it.

Have you tried it using glowsticks instead of a sharpie? It might look cooler.

yes lol the sharpie was just something i improvised.
The first video of me actually performing was with glowsticks. They feel better and have a better weight ratio when you have photons on. They sticks I have at home are around 18 grams per stick, its hard to get even weight because of my inexperience of cutting the glowsticks. I'm also working on seeing if I can have 2-3 leds inside the sticks to get more of an effect. But problem comes back to weight. Too heavy and it becomes really hard to spin because the fingers get tired while still trying to keep steady movement.

Pens I'm used are the RSVPs by Pentel so the weight difference to spin glowsticks is already difficult. I'm looking to see if there is any way to find a smaller diameter stick to put the Photons on but I loose a lot of weight in the center which will cause a lot of inertia and cause the stick to spin quicker, but at that point it can be too hard to control or stop which could lead to loosing the stick and hitting someone/something which is not good.

EDIT: Do you mean have a glowstick glowing? if you mean that, when I first made the sticks the liquid inside the glowsticks would cause too much weight to spin to one side and it would fly out of my hand.

BTW if my english sucks atm I have been drinking, happy 4th of the july!

Yea it looks like pen spinning to me really cool technique extremely hard to master though especially with glowsticks. I can do a couple pen spinning tricks with glowsticks also but I haven't taken the time to actually expand on it further. I would love to see those tricks done with ultras though (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

ya I play the drums too so it helps practicing with a bigger stick but you cant spin it quite as quickly. When I get home I will post another video showing how the sticks are made.

That was pro dude.
My friend does some pen spinning and I'm always putting glowsticks in his hands, but the photons definitly make it work.
If you ever end up going full freehand with glowsticks, use the infinity trick to help you out.
The charge can get you places to.
But anways, I loved it.

I think it's probably the low frame rate on the camera, because I couldn't tell they were actually on sticks. I suppose it's a spinning technique after all. Never seen that setup before.
