Lately I've been learning tons of BTB moves, which is awesome!!! But whats not very awesome?

I get incredibly winded, super sweaty, and nearly pass out after only about 5 minutes of practicing my BTB moves. WTF!!!

Then I realized I have ASTHMA and a condition called PIGEON BREAST (yea I KNOW its sounds super gay) (Heres some info for the people who have no idea what that is... http://www.childrenshospital.org/az/Site69...pageS698P0.html )

So, my chest condition makes it really hard to breath while my arms are behind me and im bending in weird ways. Plus, when I exert myself it becomes even harder to breath, since I'm new to the moves I'm really really exerting myself.

What I'm asking is if anyone knows anyway I can practice in a way that isn't so physically taxing?
Maybe some breathing exercises that may help?
I don't like taking medications though...

Hmm, I'm not really sure of any exercises. I had Asthma when I was younger, but mine wasn't from exerting myself, my stepmom said I'd be watching tv one moment, she'd turn around and I'd be half dead on the floor =/. People say you can't grow out of it, but I played sports in middleschool, and then I was a trumpet player for about 9 years (to include marching and Drum Corps. And now I'm in the Marine Corps. and have one of the highest physical fitness test scores.

So from what I know, I'd say breathing exercises helped me the most, and don't necessarily go to the point where you have an attack, but further than comfortable? That's the only thing I can think of really, kind of "work out" your lungs y'know?

But before that, I'd really recommend asking an expert. And even though I love stringing so much, my life is more important. So keep that in mind, good luck bro.

i would recommenced stretching, and practice btb for very short periods during practice, so eventually it wont be such a strain to do btb.

Thanks for the ideas!

I was thinking of something I did when i jogged. I would breath In, 2 steps, breath out, 2 steps, breath in... That usually kept me going for quite a bit longer. Tried it with my BTB stuff. Breath in, two beats, breath out, 2 beats, breath in. It worked quite well!

And i definitely need to start strecthing. just practiced for two hours, cleaned up my left side wallplane and learned full body crossers! now i feel like a poor poor victim from an "alien" movie though... (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Thanks for the feedback and being such an awesome community! ILY GS.C!!!!!!!!!!!!
