well as of now, i've been glowstringing for liek...what...3 hours? LOL.

so i basically have NO experience. glowstringing has always caught my attention and it looked cool and i decided i was going to learn how to glowstring a couple of weeks ago. o-e. ive had other things to do. i'm an artist(look me up on deviantArt, the name's christinasamos), musician(i dunno if mixing music counts, but i just started to do some of that too. i play 6 different instruments, not epically but good enough to say that i can :3) i'm a senior in highshcool.

i live in southeast texas, not my decision, but oh well. i guess i like it here.

OKAY enough about me.

whats the easiest thing to start out with when your glowstringing? ive heard (more like read) that doing weaves are good to start out with.

Welcome to the boards! As Bueno posted, those are all great links! Feel free to PM anyone if you have questions. Can't wait to see you around! Apparently, there have been a ton of members coming out of Texas recently.

And honestly, you'll get hurt a lot more. To avoid injuries, try going slower. And SLOWER. And also practice one hand a t a time, starting with your less dominant hand.

Already said it in the pm but I'll say it again, welcome to glowsticking.com! Always glad to see another texas member. (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

We've got a meetup coming up in august in san antonio you might want to consider saving to go to if you'd like to meet a bunch of texas members (and learn a lot about stringing and the culture at the same time.) Its at the san japan anime convention. Here's the link to the thread about it.

welcome to gsc and as everyone else has said go to the culture section and read up on some stuff to see what gs.c is all about.

glowstringing is fun when you get the hang of it ive been doing it for six weeks now (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i would say the weave once you get the hang of it try the windmill then work on butterflies learn them both in reverse as soon as your comfortable cause when you do then you can work on turns (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

have fun and good luck also check out the tutorials in this site or youtube they help alot!

thanks i'll take that advice. i've already got the butterfly down and can do it with one hand its kinda nifty :3 but i can't...like...do the weave. i wont give up on it tho. i'll just keep trying and i'll get it eventually. when the spurr of inspiration comes. yus. the buzzsaw is easy enough, and i also have some of the wrapping stuff down.
