First, and foremost, welcome to Glowsticking.com! I see a lot of you posting in the introduction thread, but we're all interested in learning/meeting new members! Don't be shy. We're all pretty friendly. But overall, gs.c is a great community to be a part of.

Don't hesitate to post a thread about yourself in this forum and let us know if you're into stringing or freehand, more about yourself, hobbies, where you live, etc. In general, just express yourself. We are also making attempts to revive online chats using Soulseek, Skype, and AIM (AIM chatroom: glowsticking)

Everyone is welcomed and use the search button to find more info for each program.

If you have any questions, you can always post it in your thread or PM me or another staff member.

P.S. you can PM if you just want to chat as well =P

Well...I started off as a free-hander and I still do every once in a while, but then about a year ago I changed to stringing...Aaronn's influence. I've got most of the basics down but I'm stuck on crossovers...THEY'RE SO HARD WITH BOOBS!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) I'm sure I'll get them eventually...any tips?

i'm a junior from kansas. we don't have much to do here so mostly we get together and party. i started sticking in early fall and immediately fell in love with it. in the beginning i had a "do what you feel attitude" but as i've progressed i find that practice and methodology give my sticking a smoother flow. i've never been to a rave but i'm dying to go to one soon. i don't think my area has a lot to offer. i only started stringing in the last week and it's a hella ton harder than i thot but i pick up something new almost every night. i also decided to teach myself to juggle to improve my sticking. i'm very open-minded. in the world of labels i've been branded a "hippie" and i think i understood the plur thing before i even heard of it. i consider myself a philosopher and there really isn't a person i can honestly say that i hate.

any one here from ks? i really want to meet up with other ravers/spinners from the wichita area.

I personally can't help you because i don't string =/. However, i think there is a tutorial video in here: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/Glowstringing-Tutorial-and-Move-Definition-List-t46.html

If not, try searching around =) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

existentialspin, have you considered making an introduction thread? Just copy and paste your post. I'm not sure how many members look in this thread. Anyway, its good to see that you're motivated!

For kansas members, use the search button. I believe there was a thread already...and also try looking in the Midwest section:

edit: I just saw your thread (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Welcome Welcome! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) It's a pleasure to meet newbies! Don't be afraid to ask questions or just chit chat but be sure to read over the articles and the Cultural Topics. They might answer some questions you have or just help to expand your knowledge. Know what you stand for!

I Came to GS.C to see if I could find new freehand moves and maybe learn how to glowsting a bit. I have been doing free hand for quit some time now but only in sperts so I never really feel like I had progressed. In the past two months, however, I moved out of my old (somewhat oppressive) house and I am staying with a friend who kinda enjoys a good likght show. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) So I have been getting more serious in the past two months with it. Now I need to learn some mo re moves and I feel GS.C is the best place to do that. I R Happy.

I do it for the love of the comunity, not the cheap attention.
Attention will last so long untill it comes back and bites you in the ass.
I do it becuse this comunity will last as long as you want it to.
It will be there for me, and ill be there for it.
Gs.c changed my life.
It made me open minded, my best trait.
