This forum is provided for the mature discussion of heterosexual and homosexual issues and relationships. Abuse does not come without consequences.
Respect of fellow members is paramount. This is the place for singles to go to possibly discuss crushes, going out single, how to be single and succeed, single stories, why you are single and choose to be, etc... even though i just broke up with my gf of 2 years and haven't been single long i noticed that there really wasn't a place for us to go, so here it is in all of its glory, please share whatever is on your mind in hopes that we can comfort one another and also learn something new. i will kick a topic off, "if you choose to be single, why? and why do you like it so much?"

oh i understand that feeling man, i think this thread will help to comfort those who seek advice for being single while also making others aware of who is single ya know? a long time ago before i met my ex-gf i loved being single and i wish i could remember how to do that again, lol

Lately I've been happening upon women who want to be intimate but don't want a relationship.
Which I find kind of awkward,
I'd rather be with someone who will devote themself solely to me, because that's what I'd do for them.
I'm still just trying to find the right one,
Because imo, dating isn't just for fun and games and laughter and sex,
It's to find the type of person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
If they aren't just right, I don't let the relationship stretch out for too long.
It hurts less if you don't drag out the relationship longer than you need to.
I met the perfect girl once, but she lives too far away to date right now.
But we still talk and flirt and visit each other once in a while.
We've discussed moving in together in a few years.
Hopefully that'll work out.

Doesn't anybody remember the art of contentment thing that was posted here a while ago?
I've been single for about 3 years (lol let's not think about how old I am) but I try my best to not think about it all the time, there's no point in telling yourself you're worthless and depressing yourself, it will just make you sadder. Just take the time alone to know yourself, become more comfortable with who you are, find out what YOU like and make yourself happy instead of somebody else.
On that note I need human companionship lol
