Wats up? Im new to this site and kind of new to raving (started right after TAO) so I was wondering what you guys would define as a cheater light? I know some Astro Jacks and most light wands are considered cheater sticks; so I was wondering what else would you define as a cheater light? For an example are finger lights that change color? or what about glowsticks that change color? or light up wire?

Ummm...I don't really understand what you're saying? I've never heard of "cheater lights." Do you mean lights that have effects so that they look cool no matter how bad you are at sticking?
Most ravers think, that the more lights you have and the faster you go, the more you look "cool." That is absolute garbage. Seriously, it doesn't matter what you use. If you take the time to watch someone, you can tell if they're doing a good job or not.

QUOTE Seriously, it doesn't matter what you use. If you take the time to watch someone, you can tell if they're doing a good job or not. definitely agree with that. I also have never heard of "cheater lights". as a matter of fact, i think the flashier the light's used, the more beautiful the patterns turn out to be. But yeah it doesn't matter what you use as long as you know how to use it. And as far as i'm concerned, i don't think i've seen anyone here look down upon any other lights. in fact i think the only thing i've seen on here about shunning certain "lights" is their quality lol anyways use what you want i say, perhaps you'll open up some new ideas for other people here man, so go for it i say

Any light works if it glows and works well and looks sick as fuck when your glowin go for it otherwise i see no problem personally I don't like LED lights but I seen some pretty amazing shows because of led lights. The only thing that might be cheating would be 3d glasses but thats for people who are rollllllllllllllllllllllin deeep. But on topic def go with any lights your comfortable with and if they look good even better

Yea there are different styles of dance that can be used to achieve different results... Tutting with sticks Juggling 4 sticks Stringing Firepoi Conjuring Liquid with no sticks I mean in my time on this site I've seen some styles that are really unique and some that are really neat! http://youtube.com/watch?v=U4Z9VgUaDvoI personally don't think this is cheating...as a matter of fact I own a pair of Ravn light gloves and they are some of the coolest things on this planet! ~_Doin' What I Want Since 1985_~ QUOTE (Cleric @ Nov 6 2008, 11:44 AM) Read a fucking book. Open your mind to the idea that you MIGHT be wrong about your beliefs. Open your mind to the fact that others may have it right when you don't. This applies to all aspects of your life. Dont take what you were spoon fed as a child as automatic truth. Seek out the truth on your own and make your own decisions. But dont then take those decisions and shove them down others throats. Especially when it leads to others not being able to live a life that could be as fulfilling as yours is allowed to be.
