File Name: Gs.C Hybrid Collaboration File Submitter: kfRFile Submitted: 25 Nov 2008 File Category: GS.C Meetups and CompilationsYear: 2008 Music: Slip - Deadmau5 People: Ryan041493 alfff Opacus02 Zodiac WuXanaXan Lira JCxSaphyre kfR Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G44pTatcBtsFirst of all, I just want to thank everyone who helped me organize and make this video, and everyone that supported and contributed to it as well. All of you are amazing people and I appreciate all the help from everyone. This is the first long video that I've edited and the first collab that I've organized, but I'm sure that as I progress I'll become less "edit impared". I learned a good many new tricks, and will only be able to further implement them in future videos. Thank you all again, Much love, kfR Click here to download this file

OH SHIT! *snags first post for commenting* EDIT: Ryan: I love your transitions. Very fun things, especially with the foot taps. Good technicality all around. alfff: Oh shit, freehanding? I like where you sort of thwack the hanging string from being motionless into a weave, haha. Keep it up! Opacus02: BOXES! Your handles work is getting better and better, John! Loving it. Zodiac: Gaaah, lighting fail! But your freehanding is getting more and more fluid. (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) wuxanaxan: Wilson, I love your freehanding. Hands down. It's amazing. You killed it with every single transition, too. Lira: ...why does your brain stop working when you're in front of a camera? FAIL. JCxSaphyre: Nice to see different colored sticks for once, hahah. Great energy! (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) kfR: LOVED it when you caught the sticks, brought them behind your head, and threw them around each side to be caught in the front again (6:31-6:33 and again at 6:41)...also WTF @ 7:38? You guys are amaaazing. Can I re-submit? ;_; Thanks for editing, kfR!...is this a conspiracy? First Cloud Collab, then Haunted Collab, now this one-- each time, y'all put me where the music is slow or there's a breakdown. Hmmm.

OMG 2nd Sikkkkkkkkk Ryan: great transitions. youre really doing great stuff alfff: blank out? repetitive wrap spams? (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Opacus: wooo the boxes. Signature opacus imo with your avatar. I see you got to antispin flowers from the huggy, woooo Zodiac:aweeesomeeeee. I liked the guy in the back that was walking by and then hes like "ohhh.. purty" Wilson: Something about the place you were sticking in was awesome. Just that it was pretty much just you in the darkness doing some awesome hybrid stuff. oh yeah and that thing at the end? LOLOLOLOL Lira: Nice to see you stringing too. Planes are looking oodles cleaner. lol "oodles" KfR: Sickness! Imo that move with the horizontal catches and almost wraps are signature you now. Great stuff.

OMG 4th Yeah, out in time for Thanksgiving! Time to update my sig. Woot! Lets see: Ryan - ever since cleric's contest your stuff has gotten really interesting, good work! Alfff - I see you got your huggies down, way to go! Zodiac - smooth as always, even when invisible (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Opacus - where'd the second crack go? Oh that's right, it took THREE times to crack the left one (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Wilsonasan - even though I was there I'm still blown away at some of the things you did, and the crab! Lira - the double effect with the mirrors made me think you were doing multisticks for a second. Always love seeing your stuff, and as for the editing, it fits since your poi and freehand style is almost serene. JCxSaphyre - always great to have more hybrids, good stuff. kfR - Nice hand stall and everything else was pretty sick too. Thanks for putting it all together, though splitting my clip left me going Huh? for a second (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

BUMP =]

When I describe a move as "aerial" I am talking about what we used to call the move set of poi in glowstringing. Why? Because the word poi is what's used for the art of poi, and is mixed up every freaking day when people are referring to either the move set called poi in glowstringing or are referring to the art itself. If you're glowstringing I call it aerial, if not then I don't care what they're called.

Thank you all for checking out the vid, it was alot of fun to make.
Thanks again to Alfff for the splash image during the intro and to Ryan041493 for the image during the credit reel.
Now for my video comments, since I wanted to email you individually and tell you all how much I liked your clips, haha.
Ryan - Dude, you're a monster. Like Opacus said, ever since the contest you've been coming up with great stuff. Your wallplane moves are amazing, BTB stuff is wicked, and the airwrap... FIRST TRY? w/e haha
Alfff - Your videos are getting better and better also. I liked how someone threw a flashbang in your room when you knocked the stick into motion. To be honest, I've never really seen anything done quite like that. Maybe trying doing some more stuff like that? Your wrap combos weren't repetitive at all, apart from a couple of forearm wraps, but it's all gravy. Your weaves and crossers are coming along nicely.
Zodiac - Newbie freehand you say? I disagree. You have really smooth traces and good ideas to go with them. Maybe you should try freehanding more often? Only negative thing was the lighting, but it's all good.
Opacus - I've been wondering for so long now how you did freehand handles, and I'm glad I finally got to see. The box/X effect is wicked. The antispin flower from the huggy crosser needs a bit of cleaning, but I'm definitely not one to preach, every time I try it I get smacked or I end up in a tangled airwrap, lol.
WuXanaXan - I watched your entire clip from the meetup, and loved every minute of it. I had fun editing your part, but it was really hard to figure what all I wanted to put in cause 99% of it was smooth as smooth could be. For being a stringer(?) your freehand is really smooth, including the helis.
Lira - Your flowers were beautiful, and your freehand gets better and better in every clip I see from you. I really like watching your traces. You have a unique style that, like mentioned above, is very serene. It brings a whole different view to the art. Your stringing is looking fantastic, just clean up your windmill a little bit so you can do fountains. :>
JCxSaphyre - I haven't seen a video from you yet, so I liked what I saw in this clip. The 2 colors was definitely a plus and your pirouettes were great. I still can't do those. Your freehand had some good concept, just try expanding it into a larger idea. Your planes for your fountain need to be sharpened just a tad. Maybe try going a little slower so you can see where you can go into the reverse weave a little smoother.
kfR - You're a dork. Clean your room. And get that damn shirt off of your lightbulb. Stay away from the floor/ceiling plane, and quit stealing cleric's manips. (6:53)
