so most of you who are close to me knows im moving away for quite a while from Los Angeles, im gonna be a full time snowboarder in Mammoth Mountain . im leaving the dawn of november 15th, ok this thread will provide you with info for the 'meetup' or to come visit me, wushu raver will be the ambassador for the trip, he will organize with all of you the date and transportation mainly for socal gsc members, hopefully ill get to see
norcal gsc, vegas gsc and sd gsc merging for this one and see you guys in mammoth . nmestar99, im not sure if you're interested, but yea you guys should all work it out with wushu raver .
the best time to come is between
january - april . thats when the snow is the most and it doesnt get that cold, but still will be cold, very cold . from LA its 5hours north east, from San Fran its about 5hours30mins east .
whats gonna happen there in mammoth, you guys gonna learn how to snowboard, and im gonna try to teach you guys, evening, jacuzzi with beer, at night, fire poi and session .

Mammoth Website and weather and so forth can be check on that site .
expenses, usually transportation may cost $40 - $80 per person, depending on gas and what kind of cars you rent, even better if you drive your own car, but sometimes chain maybe required, it does gets alot of snow there, and lodging is cheap, get a cabin and lots of people, i say around $20-50 for 2 nights per person, lift tickets are $84 a day, and rental gear are $30 a day . food do get food from markets before making the drive and cook in the cabin, stove and plates utensils are provided usually .
gear importance, #1 pants, waterproof pants, doesnt have to be snowboard pants, but waterproof pants is a must, gloves. #2 thick hoodies and jackets, it doesnt have to be snowboard jackets but its better if its waterproof, if not its ok, you wont die . #3 beanie and goggles, beanie is important to keep your head warm, goggles is not really a must unless theres a "white out" but i dont believe any of you can ride in a 'white out' unless you guys have riding experience .
where to get gear for bay area nov 14, 15, 16, for los angeles gsc, dec 4,5,6,7 . the convention is called
Ski Dazzle and basically its like AX but its for snowboarders, gears such as snowboard and clothes are 50-70% off, you can get a whole setup for $200 or under, clothes are damn cheap . but if you wanna look pimp like JunO, you got to throw in the cash .
