Time: July 11th at 5:00 PM. The meetup will go on until people decide to go home, but this is mainly a pre-meet for a local rave not too far away which we will most likely all be heading off for around 9:00 - 10:00 Heres the link! (IMG:http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c151/nuttymanders/NEVERLANDFRONTFRONT.jpg) (IMG: http://gqfox.com/Meetup%20Maps/Pre%20Neverland%20Meetup.png) Location: Madison Park - Oakland, CA (directly across the street from the lake merritt bart station) For those of you who havn't been here before, don't be phased that it's in Oakland, this spot is actually in a very safe location. *UPDATE*"Neverland will now be held at Cell Space located at 2050 Bryant Street, San Francisco, Ca We would like to thank Cell Space for generously hosting this event so last minute! Sadly Sweets Ballroom lost their permits pending a hearing later this month. Reasoning behind it is that there was recent gang activity at a past event. Sweets attempted to work with the city council this week to get the decision overturned, however the outcome was not favorable. With that said we will be contacting everyone through e-mail blasts, myspace, facebook, forums, twitter, and new info line message to get the word out that the venue has changed. We will also be posting notices on Sweets Ballroom with directions for both public and vehicle directions for those that end up at Sweets. All the extras and DJ's will be playing this event. Cell Space has a lower capacity than Sweets Ballroom so grab one of the new batches of released tickets or arrive early. The box office will open at 4pm and doors at 5pm. No changes!There should be a few people around with cars to help provide rides.-Bring your own sticks and strings please. Try not to bum them off of other people if possible -This meetup spot can get dark at times for filming so if anyone has any kind of kerosene lamps they could bring it would be greatly appreciated -One cool thing about this spot is that it is FIRE POI FRIENDLY, for those of you interested in trying out fire a few members will be providing supplies and fuel for you to try it out if you wish. When I describe a move as "aerial" I am talking about what we used to call the move set of poi in glowstringing. Why? Because the word poi is what's used for the art of poi, and is mixed up every freaking day when people are referring to either the move set called poi in glowstringing or are referring to the art itself. If you're glowstringing I call it aerial, if not then I don't care what they're called.  |
