Thanks Dave,

Anyone wanna let me know there opinion on these ultras?

http://glowarehouse.com/products/6-glow-sticks-5min-ultra

I have never used them before... they seem to good to be true... If anyone knows a good comparison to the ones that Extremeglow sells, *not the cyalum ones, but the GL ones *10 for 8$ dollars GL Ultras.

If they are just as good, i may as well order here and get a discount =X

Well the 5 minute orange ultra glowstick from http://www.glowarehouse.com is just as, if not brighter than the GL Ultra. I know it's Brightness is basically the same as the cyalume 5 minute orange from extremeglow.com, but it's brightness isn't as instantaneous.

The difference in the sticks mainly comes from the bodies..... the glowarehouse's glowsticks all have ridges on them, while the GL Ultras are completely round. Some prefer ridges, some round, it all depends on the glowsticker.

I've generally found that most stringers like the round casings vs the ridged ones overall becuase ridge = bad for bowties and also tend to be heavier, as well as the tip "scratching" you when you trace. For freehanders it hardly effects them any way but positive becuase many feel it helps you catch easier. The only problem is making the "transition" form using round sticks to using ridges.

--------------------

When I describe a move as "aerial" I am talking about what we used to call the move set of poi in glowstringing.

Why? Because the word poi is what's used for the art of poi, and is mixed up every freaking day when people are referring to either the move set called poi in glowstringing or are referring to the art itself.

If you're glowstringing I call it aerial, if not then I don't care what they're called.

Looks to me like glowarehouse sells the same northern light sticks that glowproducts does.

That being the case, I don't like the hex shaped casing for stringing and the tips are not as strong as the GL ultras. I've seen them come flying off of strings on more than one occasion.

These things have the same casings as the GP sticks do. I definitely like the price, but those casings = a no for me. For some reason the hooks pinch the shit out of my skin when I do wraps and I always end up with welts or "stringer pox" the next morning.

These are a godsend for freehanders, I'm still going to stick with the hideously overpriced cyalume ultras for now.

glowproducts = glowarehouse
i recommend trying all kinds of ultras and making your determination based on price, cost, etc.

Glowarehouse = Glowproducts? Are they still out of Canada? The price looks good on the website, but then you get stuck with crazy shipping prices.

These sticks are good sticks. However, the orange Ultras aren't nearly as good as Cyalumes. Nothing has ever come close to the strength and consistancy of Cyalumes. The Northern Light orange ultras lose brightness really fast and fade to a dull yellow color.

As far as Ultras go (Ultras meaning Cyalume Orange), Cyalumes are the best, but their price is fucking ridiculous. If you're willing to buy bulk of 100+, I found that houseofrave.com are cheaper than extremeglow.com.

Hey guys, to let u know, ive been buying glowsticks 50-at-a-time from Glowproducts.com for about the past year and ive never once been disatisfied with the service or my purchase. After shipping, the order comes to about 58, and thats without buying ultras since its a little bit extra for those(never remembered to ask about gs.c discount til this past week).

I actually recently bought a pack of em; i placed a phone order with GP like i usually do (very convenient), but i remembered to ask for the GS.C discount this time(52$), and the box they came in was from glowarehouse.com not glowproducts.com (i now know that there is little difference). I was kinda worried, but the sticks were the exact same 'northern light' sticks that have always come in (with the detachable hook at the top and the hexagonal-ridge edges).

These sticks are perfect for my colecord handles set-up so i think these are not freehander-only deals. These also seem to have a little bit more drag in the air because of the ridges, thus making muscles work a little harder to spin them (muscle memory develop and workout becomes vital); sure, it kinda makes you have to work at it to get used to the feel, but i think it pays off in the end.

But thanks for clearing up the confusion about the mysterious new label on my glowstick box!

Hi everyone,

This is Derek from Glowarehouse.com. I would like clarify the Glowarehouse / Glowproducts confusion. Glowarehouse is the same team as Glowproducts but is a separate company and is now the 'new' partner for Glowsticking.com combo packages. Glowsticking.com combo packages and discounts will now only be available at Glowarehouse.com. The previous combo packs have now been removed from Glowproducts.

The partner combo packages can be found here:

The April discount code for Glowsticking members is 'GS04TG'. Be sure to check Glowsticking.com for the May discount code soon. Also the discount amount is flexible. It is currently at 5% but if Glowsticking.com members help us promote the new Glowarehouse.com site by talking about it and linking to it the discount can increase.

Cheers,

Derek

The online Glowarehouse.com discount code for May is 'GS88HJ' and applies to all Glowsticking.com combo packs and to all 12 hour 6" and ULTRA 6". Because of the help we received from GS members in promoting our new site we have increased the discount offered for May to 7% off. Have a great month (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
