So I've been hording this Idea for a little while after EDC, a few days after ASYS for the texas members, in hopes that I would gain both the skills and courage to carry out this lightshow. Alas after some nudging from teh ShyPanda a dn my own thoughts that such thoughts shoulds be shared, thought, and debated apon i've desided to explain what I think is one of the coolest thoughts I've had..

First I would like to explain that I got this idea from EDC; When I was praticing with uncracked sticks I had two people come up to me. While one of them was telling me the sticks wheren't cracked (like I didnt notice) his friend was simply saying how he should let me do what I want. Later, after ASYS, Pheniox (sorry I know its spelled wrong) was telling us about one of his friends that would say 'its fine, its your world im just living in it' after bumping into someone. So this brought upon a idea...

Next time your at a club and someone hassles you about how your sticks are not lit, or if your simply around a friend pull them close. You dont need to do anything fancy, or anything at all, just explain to them the basics of physiology and how the brain works. Explain to them how we live our lives in third person, how every smell, touch, feeling, and vision are interpted and controlled by our brains. How every action is processed in the brain.

You need to explain to them how it is possible to trick your brain. To make it see things that are not there or feel something that is not real. Here is where the lightshow starts. Get them to close there eyes and take deep breaths. Counting out loud to five or ten. Tell them to dive deep into the rabbit hole while there eyes are closed. To seprate themselfs from the world and make it just them in the music. To free themselfs from all restrictions and binds and simply fill the echo of the world and to realized that they are in control of there world, of there lives.

When they open there eyes have them focus on the sticks, and talk to them calmly explaing to them how to invision the lights. tell them to invision trails to see the glow and to picture how beautiful it is. When you feel they are ready crack the sticks in a smooth fasion. Rather it be pressing the sticks aginst your side while doing a trace or cracking them around your head using your thumbs. DONT LET IT BE OBVIOUS YOUR CRACKING THEM.

You may talk more here but for the most part now focus on the light show. When done have them close there eyes again and count down, slowly comming back down to the world. While their eyes are close switch the sticks with uncracked and when they're eyes open once more explain to them once more that they control their world. Explain that their world can be as happy or as sad as they want. and for good messure hand them the uncracked sticks..

So there is my idea, and of course anyone is welcome to take it word for word or to add there own style to it. So, what are some of your ideas?

thats epic. i am definitely going to try this

The trippiest lightshow I ever had was from a girl who talked all throughout it about tunnels and mirrors and light and the meaning of existence and all that fun stuff. I was hanging on her every word, and even though the bass was pounding in my ears, all I could focus on was her voice and the glowsticks

Definitely not for everyone, but there are certain moods you can enter where something like this is awesome. Good thread (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

P.S. Your specific idea would work especially well with LED sticks, cause you can turn em on and off (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

this probably only works on people if they can hear you and are able to be influenced

This would require a certain setting, but I like it.
