I have never really came up with any drills or such, but.. how I learned to toss was just practicing like crazy.. I would just walk around and constantly toss anything I had up in the air, right in front of me or behind me, or throw it from my behind me up to in front of me....
Pencils, pens, lighters, glowsticks.. I just got to the point to where I could throw pretty accurate or be able to easily move my body to adjust to the distance. When I catch a toss, more than likely its always with a somewhat open palm, especially when I first practiced.
Sometimes I would also just helicopter toss it in the air, and catch it open handed, then just throw it back up in the air repeatedly to each hand, just constantly popping it back in the air. Some of the time it will just start spinning our of control, but yet it seems to get to the point to where you can still catch it...
Just keep at it and I'm sure it will start to come to you naturally.. btw.. nice to meet ya... =D

yea just as pRiebe said, just do every single kind of toss and do it everywhere...
my style is a lot of tosses, so even at school i heli toss pencils to get better...
and at home i just do uta(under the arm) tosses and alternate hands and see how far i can get...eventually, once that gets boring, i try to give the sticks different spins...so they go fast or slow, and see if i can catch those...
when you do btb(behind the back), try to toss the stick more Upwards rather then outwards...i dunno, its kinda hard to explain, but once you get it down im sure you'll understand what im sayin.
with two tosses at teh same time......i was NEVER good at that, and im still practicing but my success rate is like 1/100 so....no advice for that one.
good luck!

yup. try throwing with left, try throwing to the right, try placing it behind you, next to you, towards your knee, behind your head, try throwing without helicopter toss, with helicopter toss ,try throwing both at the same time, not at the same time.

dont forget that everyone has their own unique body type and dexterity level. you have to learn your own personal limits and quirks with your fingers, hands, and muscles to become an expert tosser. everyone does the same moves a little differently, that is the beauty of freehand (IMG:

remember: tossing isnt the hard part, catching is!! practice that more (IMG:

Well this is a drill you can do anywhere. Get something the shape of a glowstick. Get one in each hand. Now short toss one stick to rotate it only 180. then with the other hand. change between the two. Now when you feel comfortable. Do both hands at the same time. once again when you feel comfortable move up to 360 spins one hand at a time. ande move up to both. then just move up more and more
