Yes, I've seen the "bump this whenever you whack yourself" thread and the "nutshot" thread but I wanted to start one about the most idiotic and what you personally thought was the dumbest way you've ever hit yourself with your sticks. We all make the occasional SUPER dumb mistake...share with everyone please!! If you need a more visual idea of what I mean...if someone saw your mistake they would say (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/pwn.gif) My most insanely out of nowhere dumb hit was I was doing butterfly wraps really fast..just testing to see how fast I could push myself (just being stupid basically) and went for a simple butterfly style catch....OOPS somehow I missed the catch????? and one of the sticks magically goes off direction?? and hits me in the mouth and busted my lip and made a nice crack sound on my teeth LOL GEEZ!!! ~_Doin' What I Want Since 1985_~ QUOTE (Cleric @ Nov 6 2008, 11:44 AM) Read a fucking book. Open your mind to the idea that you MIGHT be wrong about your beliefs. Open your mind to the fact that others may have it right when you don't. This applies to all aspects of your life. Dont take what you were spoon fed as a child as automatic truth. Seek out the truth on your own and make your own decisions. But dont then take those decisions and shove them down others throats. Especially when it leads to others not being able to live a life that could be as fulfilling as yours is allowed to be.

I think I win. I was teaching my friend the basic weave outside of my dorm one night. I was showing her that once the movement becomes muscle memory, you can really go as fast as you want.
Badly secured glowstick, flies off and hits a 5 year old kid in the head. She bursts into tears. Her mom runs up to me and yells at me for like 10 minutes... all in front of the cute girl from down the hall I had been trying to teach.
That was awkward. And I felt horrible.

shwell..... embarrassing hit?
We were performing at a halloween party a few weeks ago. in front of probably 100 people i was spinning double staves, and my boy ase was spinning snakes, and we turned around to face each other and he accidentally hit me in the arm with fresh white gas soaked snakes. he hit me while my arm was up in the air and my whole arm caught fire, so naturally i lowered my arm to put it out. But as i lowered my arm my sleeve slid back down my arm over the spot with fuel on it. so now my arm is on fire while it's inside my suit sleeve(polyester lined(not good))
By now I'm freaking out because my entire arm is engulfed in flames, and I drop my staves to the ground. I gripped my arm halfway between my shouulder and my elbow with my other hand and squeezed the sleeve down to contact my skin and provide a seal so i could get rid of any oxygen.
At this point my whole left forearm had been on fire for nearly 10 seconds. Though it surely felt longer. But since my staves still had a good 2 minutes of burn time left i picked them up and kept dancing. I ended up with some sweet 2nd degree burns across my arm and had a severe shortage of arm hair for a week or so.... Pretty embarrassing at the time but hey, if you play with fire you're going to get burned ; ]
