if you are going to make a bold statement, provide evidence or at least a logical explaination for them. most topics disscussed here have no right or wrong answer, so give a reason for your opinion.

sometimes, we all need to simply agree to disagree.

finally, there are no right or wrong answers, only opinions. so avoid the "you're wrong and are goig to burn in hell" or "well, you are just stupid" retorts when you don't like what someone has to say. no matter how hard you try, you cannot make someone agree with you if they don't see it that way.

Instead, follow the ways of socrates and try to INCREASE discussion by asking questions. Be OPEN-MINDED. His critics said that if water boarding is not torture, then why does Hitchens not go and experience it himself. To the surprise of many, he actually agreed and was subjected to water boarding by veteran Special Forces who have been trained in water boarding. He lasted just under 15 seconds before cracking. The other is cellophane over face followed by heavy towel and water poured on it. According to the CIA, the longest anyone has ever lasted under waterboarding, was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed at about 2 minutes 30 seconds before cracking. I imagine to Khalid, it felt like an eternity.
