I can't really give you any constructive criticism because I don't do poi, but I can definitely say it was very nice looking. I liked the first vid more than the second, but the sparklers in the second vid were awesome. Keep up the good work!

I definitely dig the really short chain stuff, looks pretty neat for sure, and the polyrythm in the first video was pretty tight, but beyond that its kind of hard to tell whats going on. As far as constructive criticism is concerned I'd suggest filming way closer up, with a tripod or a table or someone with steadier hands. I'm hesitant to comment on your actual spinning because its hard to tell what you were doing especially with the camera shaking so much. It all looked pretty good for sure, but its hard to criticize what you cant see.

as far as the sparkle poi.. lol you cant stand lose to that at all unless you dont care about molten steel flying at you LOL.
ill post up another vid here shortly.. a closer one and steady handed.

what'd you use for your sparkles? I usually take a bunch of sparklers and twist them up through my chains.

QUOTE (cihack @ Dec 2 2008, 04:36 PM) what'd you use for your sparkles? I usually take a bunch of sparklers and twist them up through my chains. i use steel wool. i pretty much ran wire thro the sides of the pads (used 4) and made like a crosshair look thing, then put another length of the steel wire around the outside to keep it together. initially i started it off with a loop i made.. the fed the wire thro the pads.. hooked the loop up on my d rings.
