Hey all,
I'm just another new kid on the block. I started out stringing when I lived in the desert, but soon after moved so I just freehand/glove now. I've been at it for like 3 weeks. So far I love it, and my wife enjoys my noobtastic lightshows for her. I've learned a figure 8 and triangle so far (Thank you for the triangle Merlin). I forget what tutorial I got the Fig 8 from, but I don't think it was a GSC member. So far I've been concentrating on just having fun and making my movements something I like, instead of building a wide base of moves and tricks and not knowing what to do with them, so I look pretty awkward when dancing/sticking. From my lurking here, building up a wide base of moves quickly then figuring out how to make it all flow seems to be a common problem with new glowstickees (?) and I didn't want that to be one of mine. I'm pretty toss oriented since I find those to be not only cool looking, but challenging to pull off. I see glowsticking as a form of expression, like painting or writing, some people just choose pretty lights and I'm one of 'em.
From the posts I've seen this site has a very helping attitude, and I think that is just something a beginner like me needs. On top of that there has already been a lot of questions asked that have been anwsered, so that is a great help as well. Don't worry, I know how to use a search bar.
Thanks for takin' the time to read this guys, I hope to become a part of this community, and help out the next new guys that come in.
Sorry for the long winded intro, I just wanted to let anyone that takes interest know a bit about what I'm about and what I'm doing here.
TL:DR - Hi, I'm new. I freehand/glove (hap hazardly).
