Hey guys this is my month and a half video. Sorry for the bad lighting. Webcam showed me as brighter. ITs all i have to film at the moment, for my next video ill try and find a camera so the lighting is better and you can see my full body. Any comments are appreciated (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (Ps. Using round strings, left my flats at a party. Dont know why but that pretty much kills my spirals and orbitals as you can tell from the video (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) ) (PPS. If anyone can tell me how to put this up on GS.C I would gladly do so:)) My 1 and a half month video (IMG:http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

great vid!!! month and a half in you got some good stuff goin, your transition from weave to windmill was good and you have some good wrap combos
that being said i think yo shoud work on your plane control particularly visable when you do your side plane bicept wraps and your windmill ( unless u have a low ceiling) you bend forwards a bit work on cleaning up your planes.
great vid hope to see more in the fiuture

Ya alot of it is the fact that not only do i have a sorta low ceiling, But im use to partying at places with even lower ceilings. But it sorta has just become natural to do now which isnt good. I could get away without it in my house probably, but I am just use to it And thank you I appreciate the feedback (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

Pretty good man, you def have some of the basic wraps really down. Better than I have that's for sure. You also you do a good job going from poi moves into more glowstringing moves. If I had to critique at all I would say work on maintaining your wall plane. Though that's really more of an opinion. I always try to practice in front of a mirror so I know what it would be like if I was watching it myself. Solid for only a month and a half though, doing better than I am. Keep it up! PS: Way to pick the most classic rave song ever, lol, takes me back

haha thanks. It was basically the theme of a house party i went to on saturday. Everytime I hear it...Well I start to feel it if you know what I mean lol. I figured its what I had to do for my video (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) also, ya i need plane work for sure. I lose it sometimes and to be honest, that was the 23rd video I had filmed, cause i dont like doing editing, so when I film a video, it has to be good from start to finish. So i was a wee bit tired lol. And I dont dislike editing because I cant do it, I just feel like no editing is more something. I dunno. It just feels purer and cleaner to me. Nothing against those who do edit of course, just not my style. Thank you for the feedback (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Its very encouraging to hear. I still feel like I am horrible lol. But i have fun so thats what matters.

QUOTE (GlowstringingGoomba @ Feb 5 2010, 09:56 PM) cause i dont like doing editing, so when I film a video, it has to be good from start to finish. sometimes its a good thing to leave in your mistakes because it shows other beginners and everyone else that no one is perfect when they start out. I liked your vid, keep it up!

This is very true. I dont make em "perfect" (as obvious by my screw ups (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) but sometimes I just bomb hard or i just dont like the video enough to post it. Also i change songs alot till I find a song I really just am feeling.

Nice dude, I can see your getting stuff down. Keep working on this wraps, your starting to get it. Here are some ideas to work with... -It may be helpful to shorten your strings a little bit if you feel constricted stringing. Just an idea. -Train your non-dominant hand so it can look as smooth and fresh as your dominant hand. -Work on plane control...it takes time. It will come with practice. -Keep practicing!
And dude, if you still string this summer we should chill because I will be on break. I'll be in Appleton.

That was a good video for a month and a half. On the right track
My tips....
1. There are times were you would do your weave facing the camera, it looks a bit better when your side is facing the camera. Same with some of your wraps, you were standing with your side to the camera and you and you should be facing the camera. Standing the right way will make your moves look a lot nicer.
2. You might want to try a practice session with shorter strings. Everyone likes their strings different lengths, but with shorter string you are able to have better control over your strings.
3. Take some time working your off hand and on your plain control. Plain control is important to get down, it will make learning new moves more easy and makes your performace look a lot better.
Keep up the good work

Also thanks for the tips. Anyone have any advice how to work on plane control? Oh and to the person who said the thing about facing the right way, I know I should do that for camera's but im use to raving in front of friends, so like I go in all directions because im usually circled, But it is a habit ill have to break for camera (IMG: http://www.glowsticking.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
