well i was just practicing and i noticed i was doing heli tosses differently
instead of what i presume is the normal throw using the index and thumb to spin the stick i was just holding the stick like a bicycle handlebar and tossed it around my little finger and up

idk just wanted to know if anyone else used that technique...

I use what you are talking about and I also use the last two fingers of my hand and the hand's motion to trigger a static heli. This works when you are holding two sticks int he same hand, in a split fashion with half your fingers holding the top stick, half the bottom one. While in tracing motion, you can pick which stick to release, and the motion will cause it to heli spin or antispin.
