In October 2008 I was at a small party at sparrows house. We went outside in the middle of the night several times to glowstick. There was a lake in front of the house he had at the time, and I decided it would be a good idea to walk around the edge of the lake to an area behind a fence where there was practically no shore that way I could glowstick in an isolated nearly inaccessible area beside the lake.
I got out there and started freehanding on the shore. I dropped a stick and it disappeared! There was no sign of it and it was a very dark night and the glowstick was glowing bright green. How could my stick have just disappeared?
So I got down on the ground and started searching around. Suddenly I noticed glow coming out of a crack in the ground. I got down and looked in the crack and sure enough there my glowstick was....more than two feet down in the ground.
I was completely amazed that the earth had swallowed my stick, so I called some people over to witness the absurdity of it and I took a picture. Then I proceeded to dig up the side of the lake to get my glowstick back even though there were plenty more back at the house. That was the craziest thing that's ever happened to one of my glowsticks, so I had to keep it.
Here's a picture of the incident:
